The MTC announced progress in a Master Plan for Intelligent Road Management for national highways, in collaboration with South Korea, which prioritizes sensors, communications and automated incident response.

The Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC) announced that it is working on a Master Plan to introduce smart technologies to the national road network with the aim of improving safety and traffic management. The project, in coordination with international partners, includes the deployment of sensors, cameras, integrated communications, and emergency response systems, seeking to reduce accidents and optimize road operations in critical corridors.

For suppliers and integrators, these types of initiatives generate demand for resilient connectivity solutions (backhaul, fiber, wireless links), cameras and VMS (Video Management Systems), as well as telemetry and analytics platforms. SITE PERÚ can position itself in design and integration projects, contributing its expertise in structured cabling, networks, and video surveillance for the implementation of these solutions in prioritized areas of the country. It is recommended to establish partnerships with public entities and consortia leading the plan to participate in pilot projects and subsequent calls for proposals.
