The Challenge:
Faced with the imminent expiration of its telephony contract, MINSA was at risk of communication interruptions in three of its key offices: DIGESA, DIGEMID, and DGOS. To prevent this, personalized consulting in technological and connectivity solutions was required for the design of a new system.
The project focused on implementing a Unified Communications and Contact Center service to renew the IP Telephony platform in a timely and sustainable manner.
“When facing the end of a critical contract, inaction is not an option. Our mission was to ensure a flawless transition that guaranteed operability in three vital offices for public health.”
How did we do it?
On-Site Technical Visit and Analysis
Technical visits were carried out at each of the three offices to assess the infrastructure condition and compare existing equipment, which made it possible to determine the most suitable solution.
Gradual Implementation Plan
In coordination with the designated team, an implementation plan was defined, composed of two main stages to streamline the process and minimize risks.
Phased Execution and Testing
The first stage involved installing and configuring the PBX systems. In the second stage, IP phones were deployed and functionality tests were conducted to validate the solution.
The implemented solution
A Samsung OfficeServ OS 7400 high-capacity PBX system was implemented at each of the three offices (DIGESA, DIGEMID, and DGOS), totaling three PBXs.
The system was complemented by the installation of 546 IP phones, classified into three categories (Type A, B, and C) according to the model and user profile requirements.
A crucial component to ensure continuous operation was the incorporation of a UPS system connected to each PBX, guaranteeing service availability in case of potential power outages.
Products used
Goals achieved
Guaranteed Service Continuity
The uninterrupted operation of telephony services in the three offices was ensured, with the migration completed before the expiration of the previous contract to prevent any interruption.
Optimization and Efficient Management
The installation of phones differentiated by category allowed technological resources to be adapted to the real needs of each user, optimizing infrastructure usage.
High Reliability and Power Backup
The new system, reinforced with a UPS in each PBX, guarantees service availability even in the event of power outages, ensuring communications at all times.
